Chiba Prefectural Boso no Mura is a hands-on museum that opened in 1986. In 2004 it was integrated with Chiba Prefectural Boso Fudoki no Oka, and reopened as a museum where visitors can experience the changing clothing, diets, living arrangements, and craftsmanship of the rich village environment from ancient times to the modern era.
In May 2009 they welcomed their five-millionth visitor since opening, and the number of visitors from overseas have been growing every year.
You can enjoy learning about history and nature in the Fudoki no Oka area, and find out about the lives of merchants and farmers in the Furusato no Waza Taiken area.
